How To Book

Bookings can only be made through OSM (Online Scout Manager). If you already use OSM, you can book via the Events tab, or via our portal –

If your group doesn’t already use OSM, you can create an account free of charge – just click ‘Create account’ when prompted for your login details.

Please note: We can only accept bookings from registered groups / organisations who hold public liability insurance. We cannot accept any bookings from members of the general public.

The bookings secretary will then email to confirm your request is available. Once your request has been accepted, you will need to send a non-refundable deposit by cheque or BACS payment within 4 weeks of confirmation or 2 weeks before your camp (whichever is sooner) in order to secure the booking.

Please write the group name & date of your camp on the back of the cheque and send it to:

Ullesthorpe Scout Campsite Booking Secretary at the address that will be given in the booking confirmation email.

The balance must be paid in full 14 days prior to arrival date. Failure to do so will result in the booking being cancelled and any deposits paid will be forfeited.


Price List

Site Fees effective from Jan 2025

Charges include gas and electricity. We will do our best to keep to the above rates, but may have to revise them during the year depending on fuel prices

Site Fees - South Leicestershire District Scouting Users
Full day site fee, 6-24 hours (visitors, campers and building users) – any day£2.70 per person
Part day site fee, 30 mins to 6 hours (visitors, campers and building users) – Fridays to Sundays£1.10 per person
Part day site fee, 30 mins to 6 hours (visitors, campers and building users) – Mondays to ThursdaysNo charge
Large Event maximum charge (inc site fees and building charges) – full day (up to 24hrs)£265

Other Useful Site Information

Campsite Recce : If you would like to recce the site and facilities before making a booking, please go into the Bookings site (link in the How to Book section) and select the 'Campsite Recce' item for your preferred date. Note that these are subject to warden availability, normally Friday to Sunday only; once you have made your booking request a warden will contact you to confirm.
Maintenance Workday : Scouts and Explorers can work towards their Activity Centre Service Activity Badge by helping at campsite workdays. These are held monthly on the first Saturday of the month. Groups can book up to 2 sessions per day, with a maximum of 10 young people.
Providore : The Providore is stocked with a selection of pocket money items including batteries, badges, stationery, toys and activities; prices ranging from 50p to £3. There are also a number of site activities such as orienteering packs available to buy. Book your slot through the Booking page above.
If hiring the kitchen facility, there is a small supply of cooking pots included.
Please do not take our keys off site. If you go off site, please leave the keys with the duty wardens until you return. If keys are lost off site you will be charged for replacement locks and keys.
No pits of any sort are to be dug on the site.
No generators and outdoor electrical equipment to be used on site without prior agreement.
